Experts give us a few advices on how to take care of false eyelashes, the aftercare, maintenance and what will make them long-lasting.
Makeup expert Sayantani Sen says, "Almost very actress uses fake eyelashes and it's a well known fact that they enhance and add to the beauty of one's eyes. Fake lashes are delicate like our own lashes, but if you take proper care of them they can be used for four times more than they actually claim."
Sen says that it is best to use good quality of eyelashes otherwise you will end up with infections and sore eyes soon after the use. Insists Sen, the most important thing that plays a vital role in lasting of fake lashes is how you use them. Putting on is easy but how you remove your lashes from your eyes is really very important.
According to Sen, "Wet a soft cloth with warm water and apply it over your lashes so that it becomes loose and gentle enough to come out. Now slowly and softly pull out the lashes and keep them at a neat place. You can also use the special remover that comes with branded and expensive eyelashes available in market."
After you have removed the eyelashes, get rid of the glue that is still on them which was used to stick them on you. Makeup remover will help getting rid of it as it will not only remove the glue but also the oil, makeup, or anything that’s their on it.
For deep cleaning, try soaking the lashes in mild soap water or eyelash remover liquid occasionally. Dry them thoroughly soon after the cleaning and make sure you are keeping it in dry and cool place.
Sayantani says, "Storing is also important and one must keep in mind that you are storing them in the same packet that your lashes came in."
