Monsoon has always been referred to as the most romantic season of all. The monsoon wedding can be as memorable for a bride as any other wedding provided if some precautions are taken care of before hand. It is the time when most of the brides-to-be are worried about their looks for their best day. It is the time when the skin need most care.
So keeping in mind the worries of the brides-to-be, Laurene Daluzeau, Makeup and Spa Supervisor, Jean-Claude Biguine suggests, "During the rainy season the brides should start their skin care regime at least 4-6 weeks before the wedding. They should undertake a skin, hair and nail care program and start going for regular manicures and facials. This would not only cleanse the skin but also make it healthy and add a hint of glow to it. The Biguine Bliss Package is especially designed for brides to give a deep customised consultation for skin, hair and body under four steps detoxify & purify, energizing & moisturizing, relax & pamper and finally preparation for the D-day."
Even on a dull rainy day the bride can look bright and zippy while using light and sheer makeup. In monsoon opt for waterproof mascara, eyeliner and transfer-resistant lipsticks so that the makeup doesn’t smudge and stain. Before the D-day it is advisable to go for a body message, body wrap treatment and facial.
While giving some useful tips to the soon to be brides Laurene advises, "Never compromise on your sleep. And do not binge on oily and junk food, though it is extremely difficult to rid them off on the wedding day! You should avoid eating or drinking such spicy, junk food and deep fried foods, which make your skin oily. Also avoid substance, which can make your skin irritating and puffy. Drink plenty of water, about 8-10 glasses a day, to flush out toxins out of body and keep your skin hydrated. It leads to glowing skin. A regular hair spa or protein treatment for hair is a must."
With humidity level being higher during monsoon season Ashmeen Munjal, Beauty Expert, Ashmeen's Grace informs, "For the bridal makeup during rainy season it is safe to stick to the powder base makeup rather than using foundation. In my makeup I generally use camouflage concealer and matt powder to keep the looks fresh and bright. The shades used should be natural and closer to the skin colour."
She adds, "Before starting a make up it is essential to diagnose the skin type and use a primer. Silicon and air brush make up are the best during rainy season. After completing the makeup it is safe to lock the makeup with makeup fixture to avoid breaking the layer."
