This One Was Required!

By: Anju Gupta, Feme Fashions Bureau, Mumbai | 31 Aug 2010

There are numerous workshops, seminars and fashion events happening to show what's in and what's out as far as clothes and accessories are concerned. But there's hardly anything happening for make-up, hair, skin etc.

So when renowned aroma therapist Blossom Kochhar held a workshop on latest make-up trends, hairstyling and skin care it was welcomed with open arms by Mumbaikars.

Blossom Kochhar is a world famous cosmetician and aroma therapist. The main aim behind her workshop was to create awareness on how to keep the skin and hair healthy by both scientific and natural ways.

Blossom was supported by her daughter Samantha and they spoke at length about the hair and make-up trends that are in vogue.

Students, housewives, teenagers and office goers...everyone attended the seminar. The mother-daughter duo called people from the group and demonstrated the latest in hair and make-up. Many were happy as they walked out with a complete new look.

Nishi Purohit who wishes to pursue a career in hair and skin treatment says, "I must thank them for arranging a workshop on this subject because we hardly have anything happening on it. Now I am walking out with a lot of new ideas on hair styles, cuts, colouring and the certificate that I have received is a plus point!"

The workshop focused on new make-up trends, bridal make-up, haircuts, hair styles, hair colouring and the likes of it.

Samantha who has mastered the art of MUD (Make-Up Designory) and Long hair skills was the best part of the entire seminar. Her 'Disconnection haircut' was a big hit with the audiences. It's a technique that helps to highlight a particular portion of the hair that coloured in different colour.

Jinal Ramani who was happy to get a disconnection haircut by Samantha says, "I am very particular when it comes to my hair and skin. I have long and thin hair and hence I was looking to get a haircut that will suit my hair type."

Jigna was given a stylish haircut that looked good on her face and went down well with her hair type. She says, "I am very happy with my new hairstyle and it's making me look completely different."

There is good news for all those who want to learn MUD and Long hair skills. Blossom Kochhar College of Creative Arts & Design now offers a specialised two and a half month course on MUD and long hair. So those who want to learn the art can grab the opportunity.
