Each one of us wants to look beautiful no matter what our age. We all admire serene Bollywood beauty Rekha who still looks young and fresh even as she approaches the age of 60! Getting older may be beyond our control but how we age is not.
Today there are many treatments available which can make you look younger as you grow older. Laurene Daluzeau, Makeup/Spa Supervisor, Jean-Claude Biguine, suggests Sea Essential Intense Anti Aging Treatment. "It's a 90-minutes treatment that is 100 percent organic and also comprises of ingredients from 100 percent natural marine origin. The treatment starts a skin consultation followed by a cleansing process," informs Daluzeau.
Make-up experts are of the opinion that regular facial and anti-aging treatments helps to ward off those unwanted wrinkles and age from your face. Elaborating more on the anti aging treatments Daluzeau says, "An Anti-ageing facial is meant to provide nutrition to your skin for which the aesthetician uses a concentrated face serum (100 percent natural Phytomer Product) in the whole process. For deep nutrition and moisturising a Multi Vita Serum is applied that deeply penetrates inside the skin's surface with the help of fine finger strokes. This is followed by a massage with anti-wrinkles Serum which is oil based that helps in relaxing and stimulating your facial muscles."
Ashmeen Munjal, beauty expert believes that anti-aging treatments/facials can help revitalize your skin and work as a tool to look beautiful and younger. She suggests women who aged 40 plus should go in for anti-aging facials once in a month to keep those wrinkles away.
However, cosmetologists are of the opinion that facial treatments do not give the desired result hence people spend hefty amount on them with no satisfaction. Dr Navin Taneja, MD, Skin Care Center is of the opinion that the effect of age on skin is inevitable. Climatic conditions and stress further contribute to this process. He says, "Since one cannot escape aging, one can take certain precautions to control damage to the skin. With number of anti-aging treatments on offer one can reveal healthy radiant skin that looks beautiful. The non-invasive medical treatment will help you achieve natural looks while saving your time and money."
On the other hand Dr Taneja warns people not to eat red meat, butter, full fat milk and sugary foods as it has opposite effect on the skin.
Non surgical aesthetic treatments like Botox are some of the treatments people can go in for. "Botox is the fastest treatment. It is a natural, purified protein that relaxes the wrinkle causing muscles, creating a smoothened rejuvenated and a more youthful appearance. It's a simple non-surgical procedure that smoothens the deep persistent facial lines which develop over time," says Dr. Taneja.
To keep skin young and fresh Dr Taneja suggests, "One should keep himself away from exposure to ultraviolet rays and pollutants in the atmosphere as they account for much damage to the skin. Eating foods rich in antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E helps to prevent skin damage."
To keep skin younger and radiant he suggests some tips:
- Eat fresh fruits and vegetables
- Take carbohydrates such as chapatis, rice or whole grain breads
- Ensure adequate calcium through low fat dairy or other sources
- Eat lean meat or fish
- Drink adequate water, exercise and sleep regularly for skin to glow
- Give up smoking to keep your skin in peak condition
Besides going for the non surgical treatments people can also opt for ayurvedic treatments and meditation that helps in preventing aging. Today, though many conceptually recognise the stress reduction potential of meditation for better health, few have the patience and perseverance to practice daily.
