It was surely a festive Monday evening with lots of designer dresses, bangles and mehendis. Mumbai’s swish ladies were bust applying pretty mehandi sketches, selecting bangles to match their designer bridal outfits they picked up for the famous festival Karva Chauth today.
What would be better than Nishka Lulla? An outfit for a perfect festival and the multi-designer store FUEL at Chowpatty was full with trendy women who love to make a fashion statement. Nishka had two career options, one was to become a doctor just like her father Sunil Lulla and the other was to become a fashion designer like her mother Neeta Lulla. She chose to become a fashion designer and she is not at all complaining.
It was Falguni and Sushil Jhaveri who invited fashionistas to take a bridal preview of Neeta’s LFW indo-western diffusion line which was launched at their store. Nishka Lulla had a special showing of her LFW ‘09 collection at FUEL and keeping in sync with the occasion, Nishka had some very special people for the evening.
Bollywood gals turned up in full support for her and names like Ameesha Patel, Manjari Phadnis, Sonia Mehra and Kavita Kharaiyat were spotted, all wearing Nishka’s creations. Manjari enjoyed her walk around the store, checking out Nishka’s pink and white dresses; meanwhile, Sonia took her time at another rack with bright-colored sequined dresses. A number of Nishka’s friends also attended.
Proud mother Neeta Lulla was always around checking with all the guests present their making them all feel very special. There were many others like Isha Koppikhar and her mother, Pooja Bedi with her father, Parveen Dusanj, Leena Mogre, Gautami Kapoor and others.
What makes FUEL different from many other fashion stores in Mumbai? The designers. There are so many known designers, their beautiful outfit’s available under one roof. These outfits of course burn a big hole in your pocket, but they have the magnetism to attract many eyes towards you.
When asked Nishka, why she chose to launch her collection at this store, she was very excited to add that she never imagined launching her collection any where else than FUEL. Though it’s her mother Neeta who advises her on all her major decision, the duo work carefully for fine detailing.
