Starting with Christopher Kane and Anthony Mascolo, the duo made a perfect start to the evening by showcasing their collection based on the resort theme. Models started walking the ramp dresses in tailored piece of grey, black and tartan playing with the shades of light and dark with a mis-match concept.
After his show there was a break in which much hyped famous hairdresser Anthony Mascolo took to the stage to discuss about his concept.Adhuna Akhtar, Avan Contractor and few others seated on the front row and filmed each and single word that the stylist said.
After Anthony Mascolo, it was Christopher’s collection again that took on the ramop. This time the designer had ample of visual appeal to offer as models started walking ghingham prints on structured thigh-split dresses with puff sleeves and fan pleating.
The chiffon dresses carried floral designs in sequins.Kane was so much in love with Indian embroidery that he got his clothes embroidered at different workshops in Mumbai.
Then there was Payal Singhal who has been in this industry for a decade now. She displayed how one can effectively wear a stylish kurta on the beach. Her collection has comfortable body flattering silhouettes teamed with sparkling rhinestones adding the right amount of glam appeal to the runway.
Her collection is more for super-rich who are gearing up for a resort-themed wedding on the beaches of Maldives. Kalidar tulle kurtas with crystal encrusted yokes ruled her collection here, but we are not very happy with the showstopper that she had to walk the ramp.
Anusha Dandekar looked all dolled up on the ramp as a show stopper and let us tell you that she looked completely fake. Then there was breathing space by Elina Ahluwalia who explored tow lines of jewelleries namely ‘truth’ and ‘sunset in nice’.We must have to admit this that this lady will ggo very far as she impressesed the audiences a lot.
We must admit that we were really besotted by her collection particular the sunset in nice one. Staring with Truth, it had sliced agate which is a form of quarts, set in silver fretwork and strung together with bold chunks of ameyst, corals, jasper and citrine.
Then it was sunset in nice, which looked like scarves and stoles. They were so huge that it hardly looked jewelleries and we loved that fact.Leaf like, abstract or disc shaped pendants strung together in vibrant silks, in blues, oranges and greens made for bizarre yet very beautiful neck pieces. Way to go girl and keep this shining and bling work up.
Then there was Malini Agarwal who showcased her jewelleries along with the dresses of designer James Ferreira.Designer James has a very primitive approach to the art of drapes that lent the show a sense of innocence. Malini has leather clutches and beautiful jewelleries that models showcased at the event.
We loved show stopper Simone Singh’s heavy crystal neck piece and gold sandals. She looked million dollars really.
