The last day of the VHIMW 2010 saw some masterpieces by the ace designer Sanchita who recreated the magic with her Synesthetic Collection, where ideas are rethought with freshness and enthusiasm, and neo technologies overlap craft and function.
A modern take on the classic and bomber jackets, with finely tailored, deconstructed and collapsible random shapes in jerseys, coupled with relaxed pants in washed drills and twills were an eye candy to watch.
With curious Incongruence of traditional grids and parallel lines hand printed in monochromatic pigments on cottons and jerseys gives a classy look to the modern man. A conglomeration of graphic pulses translated from an eclectic mix of vintage prints on fine linen the collection enthuse the sculptural elements transforming themselves from solid to void on fine cotton.
Movements reconfigured from the shadows of nature’s imprint and colour resulting in ambiguous fabric blotches on linen. The most attractive feature of the collection was the jumpsuits that take on a new versatility with utility all-in-one features.
Fictional archetypes from mythology and culture reinterpreted with a touch of modern panache, etched on basic jerseys gives the metro sexual man a new avatar. De-structured accessories, with textural and unusual woven accents and luxe tribal detailing in monochromatic, bicolor, over laundered hides for a relaxed global traveler gives the collection an aesthetic look.
The designer has played with the colours abstracted from volcanic rocks with muted red and orange accents emitting an energy that is absorbed, yet constrained.
