Globalization impact on Baby Dresses

By: Aditi Swain, Feme Fashions Bureau | 3 Jun 2009

Globalization has made a great impact on the Kids-wear and the Baby dressing. The focus has been unfeigned for the creation of the clothe and the fabrics.

Globalization has made a great deal of effortless lead for the toddler dressing! Little change occurred for the apparel of late 19th century.

Although the farthingale disappeared during the early 19th, skirts remained bell shaped. The cone-shaped corset continued, with the waist higher or lower as fashion dictated. Late in the century the loose gown, or mantua, made its appearance. The cosset /baby dress were designed especially for the Bonnet, Linens, Bold designs, Lace and Pockets.

The Waists were narrow and skirts bell shaped. Sleeves, although wide, were usually three-quarter length. The outer gown/toddler dress was pulled back from the skirt front, forming a bustle! And the recognition of the Baby dressing has made a revolution for the futuristic pattern of dressing..

However, when choosing the right dressing for the toddlers, check for the ones with short sleeves and puffs, ruffles, frills, lace and trimmings. Opt for the light clothing for summers like the cottons and wefts…For winters, for egs, check for the clothing like booty, mufflers, warprounds, and especially to the core of comfort made up of pure woolens; preferably pastels for the baby- wear.

The brighter ones can be opted for the cosset for the age group of three to four years in India, though the collection for the West may vary! Also, the Baby dressing can have the prints ranging from the polka, ribbons, laced, ties, pleats, knots and filets.

As the Delhi based designer Ritu Malhotra speaks,” Kids dressing convey a volumous approach towards the fashion industry…The cosset collection has been great for the vital theme of the basics. I ,being a designer must admit that the early forms of design pattern has been quite rewarding for the futuristic approach”. Ritu Malhotra has been a part of the fashion industry since last twelve years and has been recognized for the intricate lacework in her design collection!

Also, when we speak to the designer Rupali Varan, she says,”The basic form of kids wear directs for the simple, bold and skimmed .The complicacy of intricate designs rule out the reign of the kids attire. My mindset has been enthusiastically for the bold designs like the dotted fabrics and the comfort zone for the kids wear”.

Baby dressing has been crucial for the fashion styling, many aren’t aware of! Remember that the Baby wear has to be synonymous to the comfort ability before the design pattern get merged. The polkas, frills, ruffles and the yokes are taken care of for the toddlers elaborate dressing. So, the bold and the voguish take the reign!
