Zip it up!

Here's a stylish addition to your clothes this season.

Zippers are in and can be spotted on everything from shirts and pullovers to dresses, jackets and even footwear!

It adds fun and style to your look and makes for a perfect option in winter fashion...that's what we have been spotting on college campuses lately!

Time to add zippers to your normal boring look.

Go red hot!

You can't wear bright red lips to college unless and until there is an occasion that demands it.

But this party season, girls are making sure that they are having enough of red in the look be lips, nails or even a stylish clutch they carry to the party.

Girls are painting their lips in bright tones of red a la Bipasha, Vidya and Sonam style and have been attending parties this week. Truly head turners, red lips enhance their look and all of them look no less than a diva.

Metallics are in!

Looks like nudes, blacks and other colours need a break. It is time to soak in some metallic shades.

From heels to nails and even dresses, winters have given a chance to all fashion conscious girls to show their metallic tones.

Jewelled tones are a big hit with girls and they are often seen displaying their nails in these pretty colours. While metallic heels have effectively replaced nude coloured pumps.

A metallic toned tee makes for a perfect choice and can be paired with stylish denims this party season.

So why wait girls, go enjoy and show that metallic side of yours.

Of stoles and shawls...

Winters are here and it is time to add some fun to your look with shawls, stoles and scarves.

Stylish winter wear in some pretty prints, designs and lovely colours have made their way into the market, to confuse all college-goers with the huge variety!

Starting from as low as Rs 100, the rates go higher to Rs 1500 and the options you get are awesome. I am in awe of those really pretty Pashmina shawls, the Kashmir special, and many stores in Mumbai have stuffed their shelves with them!

These Kashmiri shawls are really beautiful and one would not mind spending a bit extra on them.

Head to Bandra Linking Road, Lokhandwala Market, Hindmata and Fashion Street for best deals.

Neon nails!

I love winters. Along with a cup of garam chai and yummy delicacies, it offers much more, especially when it comes to fashion.

The latest trend on any college campus is on neon coloured nails. And this trend is popular among all ages! Every one is in awe of the trend and has been making sure that they have enough of it.

Pinks, yellows, oranges, nudes and greens...everything that's bright and a little loud is ruling the nails of pretty ladies.

I have painted my nails in bright fuchsia and the next option on my mind is bright raspberry pink. What's on your mind?

They're back!

Long back we had this trend of flared kurtas that was called umbrella fit.

The trend is back and how! Kurtas with A-line have been a big hit and almsot everyone is been wearing it. Kurtas, kameez-churidar and even kurtis with flared fit are a hot favourite among college girls.

Head to a store near you and you will find hundreds of options avaibale!

A stylish kurta teamed with denims is the best casual look college-goers can pick. Those looking for a traditional look should pair them with a churidar and get ready for compliements.

Make sure you buy one that's not very colorful because too many colours might mess up the whole look.

It's all about the leggings!

Girls, you may like this one...

Leggings have been here since quite some time now, and I'm sure they are not leaving anytime soon. But the new range that has entered the market recently, is the topic of discussion on college campuses

From shimmer to prints, sequined to delicate embroideries...there are different kinds that available these days. Floral motifs to animal prints and many more types are available.

Some may love the collection and some may find it tacky. But if you manage them to pair well, they do look great....after all, they're a hot pick seen on almost every college campus!

Go green on campus!

Winters are here and it's time we enjoy the season to the fullest!

The season brings some beautiful shades of green and not only our surroundings, but our wardrobes have also become greener! Clothes, accessories, shoes the colour is everywhere and how!

A green shirt, a mint green dress, a fresh green saree a dark green kurta all sounds so interesting and look really good.

Mumbai college-goers are making sure that they get enough of the colour. It's your chance now to soak in this fresh and lively shade

Nudes are hot!

This is not something new; but I am sure the post will be useful.

From nail paints to clothes to accessories, nudes are selling big. And pairing them right can add a lot of glam to your over all look.

Nudes go really well with hot pink, bright red and oranges. So add that contrast factor to your nudes and you are all set to welcome the colourful winters.

A nude dress with pink pumps or a bright brown dress with nude bag and so on...many combinations like these are a big favourite on campus these days!

Try it, and I am sure you will love the nude trend!

Wowie...!!

Hey lovely people, I am writing on something that I am completely in awe of!

Suddenly I am all for neon pants, made popular by designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed, and something that is today's best trend!

Guys and gals have been pairing neon pants with a white or other monotone top to get the 'stunner' style.

Parties, college campus, streets...this trend is everywhere and I have started loving it too.

Getting inked!

Planning to get inked? This one is for you then! Go for the latest trends and try making something unique that's created by you.

Names, poems, letters, cartoons are all old, and it's time to get something innovative and creative on the body. After all, it should not be regretted later!

Get something that describes you and your personality the best. Something that resembles your name or something that is very much like you.

Tost commonly seen these days is UV tattoo trend. It is a tattoo that looks like normal one but glows in black light. It looks great, but I am not sure about the chemical that goes into it when you get this tattoo done.

I personally don't like tattoos and this is one trend that I am not really very excited of.

Go Purplicious!

Guys and gals, go purplicous this season. Everything in this shade is a huge hit and the colour is a rage in college campuses this season.

From dresses, shoes to bags and jackets...everything that comes in rich tones of mauve is 'wow'! From deeper tones of purple to richer royal tones to stuble mauves, college goers love the colour in every form.

In fact, girls have got purple highlights in their hair that add an electric factor to the personalities.

I am planning to get that colour in my hair too, but still have some doubts about how it'd go with my look.

In festive mood!

India is celebrating and so are offices and colleges of Mumbai.

Now that the important Indian festivals have started every one is in a festive mood. Girls and guys have got their colourful stuff out of their wardrobes and collge campus in Mumbai is looking no less than a water colour palette.

Red, green, violet, purple, pink, blue, yellow you name it and you will see it here. It's really a plesant sight to see younger generation dressed in traditional attires and making the most of this season.

Traditional dresses, kurta, patiyalas, jootis everything is in abundance and I am loving it.

Proud Indians we are.

Red, blue, brown and more!

This one is hard for me to say but yes, our very own Govinda fashion is back.

Remember a decade ago actor Govinda made style statements with his yellow, blue, red, green, brown pants that he paired with equally contrasting shirts and tees. It seems this funny trend is back, but with a stylish twist.

Colourful pants or denims paired with a monotone shirt or white tee is the flavour of the season.

Most girls and guys have been wearing them to colleges and it is looking much better than Govinda's loud and flashy style.

So, try this one for sure...

Harems with a twist

This one is no more the mauja hi mauja outfit. Harem pants have come a very long way.

It was Kareena who made it famous and since then harem pants have refused to lave fashion world. This season harem pants have made their ways to the stores, but with a twist.

It is wider, fluid and much like a dhoti. The middle portion is left loose that it touches almost the knees and this one looks much more comfortable and sporty.

From multi-coloured to prints to muted tones to geometric deigns, harems come in many different designs that gives ample selection range.

Pairing it with a halter neck top or a fitting tee will be the best option.

Some love for this one!

Boys, go shop now...I am sure you all will love this!!

Military pants were never out of fashion, but this season they have hit really well and is back big way.

Boys have always loved these dark green and creamish yellow pants, but now that top designers have given us some fab ideas this season, the pants are back and a rage now.

Pairing these pants with a comfortable tee makes for a perfect causal look.

If you are sporty enough then go for jackets, caps and even bags that available in this fabric. But make sure don’t wear all of them together.

It should be either one of them.

This one is hot!

People...this one is a trend that's off-campus. But still it's hot.

Colleges here have strict dress code that does not allow us college goers to wear revealing outfits. So wearing hot pants or shorts to college is a strict no-no here.

But off campus, teenagers and those in their late twenties have stuffed their wardrobes with these hot pants in different colours and sizes.

While those in cottons and denims are a big hit, girls are also going for satin shorts that I am not personally a fan of. They do not look that good.

Pairing these shorts with sexy tops, tees and cropped tops will enhance its beauty.

Mine is green, and yours?

I am sorry for being biased, but this post is for girls again!

Here is one trend that cannot be missed. It all started with celebs and now it seems every girl has got addicted to it. I am talking about the craze of colourful bags that has hit college girls lately.

Just sometime back I made fun of ladies who carried red, hot pink, dark blue and other vibrant coloured bags. But now I myself own a bunch of those, varying from pink to blue and green to yellow to...it's not ending so soon!

Different sizes and some stunning shades of bags are the latest addiction seen on the campuses. It ranges from clutches to slings and totes to jholas. But believe me they look absolutely stunning.

If you have an eagle's eye, then head to Colaba Causeway or Bandra Linking Road and buy one that suits your style.

Believe me, these colourful bags are the hottest pick of the season.

Flashy and shiny 'in'!

This is one trend that girls would love for sure.

Colourful mojris , with bling and flashy designs, have made their ways on college campuses these days. Now this is one reason that allows lovely girls to get all chamkili and rangeeli.

Mojris or jootis in almost all colours and striking designs are hot pick this season. From motifs of flowers to birds to peacocks to animals, every design is available out there!

Pairing these jootis with a muted kurta and simple leggings/salwars/churidars/jeans is the best bet of the season.

Don't believe me? Well try and see. It works really well!

I already have 3 pairs now

The Patiyala craze

Every girl loves it. A couple of Patiyalas are a must in any girl's wardrobe.

The trend of Patiyala salwars is not new, but this year it seems the craze had increased multi-folds!

Every clothing brand that specialises in ethnic wear has stocked their shelves with vibrant coloured and printed salwar-dupatta sets that can be paired with almost any kurta.

Girls in college these days are opting for traditional look often, owing to the festive season. Pairing a vibrant coloured Patiyala with a subtle kurta or even a stylish tunic is the hot pick this season.

Sans duppatta, a stylish Patiyala teamed with an equally stylish soft kurta can add to your look. But make sure the kurta is right and not loud. Otherwise it will make for a perfect disaster!

Silicon magic!

Come on girls, silicon is just not for implants. It has much more to it.

With monsoons in its full swing, footwear makers are casing on the versatile silicon to the best. Colourful shoes, transparent sandals to chic chappals, there is too much of variety available in the market.

The college girls have already bough these pretty looking pieces in chunk. What about you?

The hot (cool) melons

Melons are no more coolants, but a real hot trend this season.

Well I am just talking about the melon pink tone that has taken every girl by storm.

It's become the new red it seems as every lady is opting for this delicious looking shade.

Tops, tunics, dresses, lip colour, tees, kurtas, nail paints, kadas, shoes, bags and almost everything is coming in melon pink colour. In fact, girls are shopping, keeping the colour in mind and love getting drenched in this tone of pink.

Me too, loving it and have already bought a tee and a dress in this shade.

When feeling cold...

Sweatshirts are back with a bang. College-goers have gone crazy over them!

Monsoons in Mumbai are refusing to leave and we have hardly got to see sun in these past few days. College-goers have stored in colourful and trendy sweatshirts that they have been carrying to college every day.

They are not merely used for keeping oneself hot, but it is more about making the correct style statement now. From vibrant colours to soft feminine shades to prints to two-toned designs, sweatshirts are available in almost every colour.

I am personally not a fan of this one though.

Cropped tops

Move over tees and ponchos, crop tops are the latest addiction that’s seen in teenagers now.

Gone are the days when girls shied away showing their bellies and sexy backs. Girls are more open with their dressing and hence crop tops are the perfect and comfortable wear they have been sporting now.

Crop pants are ideal for shorts, hot pants and leggy jeans.
