Rocking the pop colours

Suzanne Roshan showed off all her star powers at Mozez Singh's Mughal Pop Collection launch at Good Earth.

Although she took the risk to pick stuff from a teenager's wardrobe, she pulled it off effortlessly, leaving us amazed.

She lived to the "pop" theme and picked a short white denim skirt, bright pink sleeveless top, matching the royal blue tube top with blue strappy heels.

But the best part was the pop art clutch by Prada. Kudos to the stylist

Refreshing, happy change :)

Kajol has been such a darling in the past week, that we just might reconsider calling her "stylish".

First appearance was at the Marc Cain preview event in Mumbai, where she (hold your breath!) wore a one-shoulder, short, blue, Shantanu-Nikhil dress, and teamed it with nude pumps and minimal accessories and natural makeup. Hair tied all neatly, madame K looked every bit the star she is (and for the first time we may add! )

Second spotting was at Manish Malhotra's recent fashion show, where she wore a shimmering, fluid white saree by the designer, showing off her much slimmed down arms in a sleeveless blouse.

Kajol has clearly been working out and taking good care of herself, and may we add we absolutely love the makeover?

Although not yet the quintessential style diva, these are few of the first steps toward it we're sure.

Welcome to the 'star club' Kajol hope you stay here

Desi LiLo?

A recent celeb spotting has left us shocked and sad Her washed out face, messy hair, out of the place dressing and devil may care expressions make one wonder if THIS is actually the superstar we loved once!

No prices for guessing...it was Preity Zinta at Mukesh Ambani's party for Sachin Tendulkar's success.

While everyone present was dressed in their finest best, madame Z picked an uber casual pink floral strapless jumpsuit sans style. That she teamed with a glam chic fuschia clutch that didn't go very well with the outfit (may be a college sack would’ve done better, given the look!)

Where did the funky, peppy, vivacious, ever stylish PZ go? Either she's not seen much, or seen in playing a desi Lindsay Lohan! We miss you Preity...

Going the Sonam way?

Bebo took cue from another Kapoor babe at a recent do, and boy did she nail it!

Flaunting a very 'Sonam-esque' style, Kareena went for a yellow and pink Masaba saree from the designer's latest Summer/Resort collection with a closed-neck quarter sleeved blouse, and teamed it with bold kundan jewellery.

The whole look, including the accessories and the makeup, reminded us of Sonam, and we have no complains!

Looks like Kareena is looking to change her style and go the style-diva way we like we like

Need some colour NOW!

It was a pleasant surprise to see Kajol step away from her usual style and comfort zone, and slip into something more "party like" at designer Payal Singhal's show at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012.

However, looks like it is not going to be easy for her to get uber-chic overnight.

Although the look was different than her usual long sleeved, black outfit, boring wedges et al., it still missed that spunk.

The pale beige knee-length dress with diamante detailing at the waist went well with her nude pumps, but we do wish she played at least a little with some colour...either in accessories or makeup (which was nude too!)

Kajol...dear...it is awesome that you have decided to change your style, but we'd love to see you a little more vibrant and peppy...something that'd go best with your own peppy, chirpy self

Taking it too seriously

We are huge colour blocking fans...yes we are! But taking it too seriously, risking going over the top, is something we frown about.

The ever stylish Neha Dhupia did just that for her appearance at designer Vikram Phadnis' show at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012.

It was way too much colour for us to digest to begin with; and way too much detailing. It was a fluid orange top paired with bottle green pencil-skirt, green ankle-strap platforms and bright pink box clutch. The skirt was polka dotted and the clutch had embellishments that we weren't quite keen about.

To top it all, Neha went for a flashy, baby-doll makeup with bright pink cheek tint and bold red lipstick!

Although we loved the colours independently, all put together looked tad messy. Calm down Neha! We have been fans of your style since a while now, but you need to slow down and stop being a fashion slave!

Bad choice Sonam!

At a recently held fashion magazine awards night, we spotted Sonam Kapoor being her usual experimenting, fashionable self, but wished she'd've picked something simpler this time...even a tested and tried choice wouldn't have hurt!

Her wine and mauve strapless gown with random motifs and embellishments in red and aubergine looked totally shabby and ill-fitting, especially with the undefined waistline.

Although we loved the makeup and accessories, sincerely wish she picked something else this time.

Oh! Maria...love you Maria :)

Absolutely love Maria Gorreti for going all Maharashtrian for a traditional Marathi wedding.

Going with the theme, Maria chose a classic, traditional green and purple Paithani saree. Hair tied neatly into a simple bun, adorned with mogra, a large bindi, all natural makeup and no jewellery except for the traditional mangalsutra...Maria rocked the elegant look and grabbed all eyes.

Not just did she stand out in the designer clad celebs, she also dazzled with her demure smile love you Maria...is all we can say...

'Singham' steals the show!

Why do only the ladies always get all the credit for glamming up an event? B-town men are style conscious too! And they proved it at Ritesh and Genelia's wedding yesterday.

While many turned up in denims and shirt, many were spotted wearing Pathanis, and others chose the safe 3-piece-suit way. But the one who really stole all hearts (and even won among all men) was Ajay Devgn.

The 'Singham' star picked a super elegant classic khadi sherwani with white salwar, walking all tall and confident...his usual composed self. Two thumbs up for not going the beaten and boring embroidered kurta-chudidar way.

Disappointed :(

Always trendy, always stylish and always experimenting...Sonam is one fashionista who we can say has never failed the loyal fans.

But at the Elie Saab Haute Couture Show in Paris, we were nothing but disappointed and shocked!

Sonam chose to wear a Deepti Pruthi saree in baby pink with white lace at the border and the front of her high neck halter neck blouse. It was alright until she chose to wear an Elie Saab lace shrug over it!

Although this style is contemporary and trendy, the already heavily embellished saree and blouse looked tacky with the added detailing of lace shrug.

To top all that, the huge pearl earrings, ring and white clutch added to our disappointment.

Very sorry Sonam, but this time you looked dated...more like a 1990s wannabe.

Simple, elegant rules always :)

Firstly, let's just congratulate Deepika for being such a simple, girl-next-door star. The young fashionista never bothers about being spotted in the same outfit at different events and doesn't care if it is a simple ensemble, and that is what makes her the diva she is.

Deepika's recent appearance in a peach-pink top with high-waist white palazzos has become a hit! And we spotted her flaunting it for the La Senza store opening and going straight to Ritesh and Genelia's pre-wedding bash, looking all stunning and chic.

The makeup was all natural, hair tied back neat, and what added to the wow factor was the stunning gold cuff, classic McQueen clutch and nude peep-toes.

Kudos for keeping it so simple yet elegant Dips! This is why we love you

The new desi girl ;)

International celebrity Oprah Winfrey is in India and all she has done is steal our hearts!

What the Indian media got to see is the pure charisma and aura of this diva who has been ruling the television world since over 25 years.

Picking to go all desi, first flaunting a traditional Tarun Tahiliani saree, and now a contemporary Sabyasachi one, Oprah looked quite like the very modern 'desi girl'.

She carried the dull pista green saree with stunning embroidery at the border, effortlessly and even sported a tiny [/I]bindi.

Love you girl for being such a sport and going all desi chic

Another stylish mommy-to-be :)

Shilpa Shetty was finally seen in public after her pregnancy announcement and how we loved it!

For her business partner Kiran Bawa's Lohri celebrations, Mrs. Kundra chose to flaunt a red and off-white empire line Anarkali with stunning embellishments and lace work. The traditional red dupatta went perfectly well with the outfit, and the jootis in antique gold added to the wow factor.

Chandelier earrings, single kadaa and clutch - all in antique gold completed the look very well. Loved the makeup and hair too!

Need we mention that Shilpa looks all fit and fine, perfectly in shape despite the baby bump? Way to go girl...looking forward to seeing you more often!

Plain, dull and boring...

For the launch of the new trailer of her upcoming flick 'Agneepath', Priyanka Chopra chose an Emilio Pucci printed dress in mixed shades of blue, teal, dull pink and white, done in classic Pucci style.

However, although the lady looked fab with her simple hairdo and natural makeup, we really think she could've chosen to forget her usual and gone for vibrant fuschia or flaming orange lips and nails; even the footwear rather than the boring nudes. Even reds would've looked better.

Need to break the dated spell Priyanka...NOW!

Stylist change...please!

Spotted B-town's first yummy mummy Malaika Arora Khan at an awards night, and she looked...ah well... the same.

A strapless fiery red flowing gown by Raakesh Agarvwal, with thigh-high cut and a corset style bodice.

And although the design and the pattern were stunning, we'd have loved to see it on someone else. Malaika...darling...you really need to step away from strapless, high cuts, shorter than the short styles for God's sake!!

We didn't even bother to look at the makeup and hair, so much was the "same old" effect.

Well, guess someone needs to hire a new stylist ASAP!

The stunner does it again!

The style diva won't give up and we aren't tired of her stunning appearances...especially when we know she never disappoints her loyal fans.

At a recent photo shoot for UTV Stars new show 'Superstar Santa', Sonam Kapoor chose a creation by another style goddess - Victoria Beckham - and did complete justice to the simple yet trendy yellow dress.

The simple boat neckline and pencil fit looked perfect on her well-toned body, and the choice of minimal, natural makeup and hair with no accessories but the sparkling studs was just fab; and we loved the beige peep-toe footwear too.

This is why we love you Ms Kapoor...you never fail to impress!

Red hot winters!

At a recently held Colgate Dental event, we spotted actress Raveena Tandon all back in shape.

Looking fab in the bright red shirt and black pants, Raveena went the simple yet chic way.

Wearing a broad brown leather belt, brown Louis Vuitton bag, strappy shoes and Chanel beads, the lady stole all attention for sure.

Looking forward to seeing Ms. Tandon more often in such stylish picks.

As chic as it can get!

Singer, VJ Anushka Manchanda sure knows how to brighten up even the simplest of styles. Her recent public appearances have been nothing but sheer delight and inspiring for the trend savvy.

Recently she was spotted at the Smokehouse Deli and she proved that even a combo as simple as blue jeans and white shirt can look uber stylish!

She wore an animal print slim brown belt, beige sling bag and stylish metal bangles. This along with hair let loose and flashy red-orange lips looked super fab!

But what really added to the style quotient were her printed frame glasses that took away the attention from everything else.

Kudos to your choice of stylist Anushka...simply amazing

Grey matters that we love

Actress Poorna Jagannathan, who stunned us all with her care-for-none act in 'Delhi Belly', has suddenly become the Page 3 regular, and with dazzling appearances that too!

At a recent do, Poorna wore a simple grey sleeveless dress with black gladiator footwear. Paring this with a statement necklace and a chic blue clutch, she just stole the show!

Always keeping her hair and makeup simple, Poorna sure knows how to flaunt her well-toned body and her amazing style sense. Way to go girl
