MLA Pratap Sarnaik, whose name has been synonymous with Janmashtami ‘Dahi Handi’ events, has now teamed up with ‘soul painter’ Soketu Parikh and Sudanshu Pandey for a novel idea of ‘self-break your dahi handi’ and have a blast before you bring in the festivities. The new idea in honour of the most famous festival revolving around the birth of Lord Krishna will be unveiled at Enigma Night Club, J. W. Marriott Hotel. Janmasthami 2010 will be celebrated on September 1 and 2, 2010.
The Trio Partap Sarnaik ,Soketu Parikh and Sudanshu Pandey were at the entrance of the club receiving the guests who had thronged the club to witness the dahi handi in a novel way.
First guest to walk in was Ramesh Sippy and Kiran Juneja follwed by Vindoo Dara Singh who was lending a hand later for the dahi handi. Ramji Gulati was the DJ for the night to rock ,Rohit Verma was true to the ocassion as he walked in wearing a white outfit with the krishna doll in hand which he had at the time of big boss days.
Avesh Dadlani joined back the party circuit after a month after his honkong trip. South African Consulate Busi bonded with Soketu Parikh where he explained her the tradition and value of the event. Swiss Consulate Susan was present too.
Shifanajali Shekhar said she was still celebrating her birthday and janamshatmi celebration was perfect Vijay Kalantri ,Vikas Kalantri and Amrita Patki were seen hanging together. Anirudh Dhoot and and Hrishikesh Pai were together for a while The south african consulates enjoyed the entire event .The dahi handi breaking was done by the Najia Khan along with Vindoo Dara Singh ,Soketu Parikh ,Sudhanshu Pandey ,DJ Sheizwood and others. The handi breaking was backed with some good music by Ramji Gulati.
This handi was broken by Najia Khan midst lot of music and cheering ,the handi had some petals which was showered on all. It was a sight worth remembering all seemed excited. Pratap was congratulated by all. Rohit Roy walked in last and Rashmi Bagga and Pranav Bagga were present,DJ Shiezwood,Rahul Vadiya brought some musical zing to the event. Hanif Hilal and Karan Grover were there till the end. Lara Shah,Mariam Zakaria ,Jennifer ,Umesh Pherwani,Atul,were the others present for the evening Soketus idea did wonders and the activity went super hit ,All had a great time and soketu and Pratap went back home happy with a great party and a great show.
