NFL superstar Reggie Bush and Adidas have teamed to design custom Adidas shoes to aid in Haiti relief efforts; a sizeable portion from sneaker sales will go directly to Mercy Corps for earthquake relief.
NFL star Reggie Bush has joined hands with popular shoe-brand Adidas to create a custom designed shoe on miadidas.com to help deliver much the needed aid to the people of Haiti. The Reggie Bush Help Haiti shoe, an adiZero Ace 2 running shoe personally customised by Bush, is inspired by the national colours of the Haitian flag and includes a “Help Haiti” inscription on the heel to generate awareness for the ongoing need of assistance to the Caribbean nation.
Reggie, stunned by the devastation in Haiti, said that many organisations and high-profile individuals have given their overwhelming support to Haiti, and that partnering with Adidas and Mercy Corps (Mercy Corps helps people in the world’s toughest places turn the crises of natural disaster, poverty and conflict into opportunities for progress) is just one way to raise awareness and money and do his part to help the earthquake victims.
Bush fans and Haiti supporters also can do their part to contribute to the relief efforts by visiting facebook.com/adidasfootballus or miadidas.com. These online destinations will sell the Help Haiti shoe for $105.00 with a portion of the proceeds going directly to Haiti via Mercy Corps.
These shoes are available for a limited time from February 5-11. Not just this, several of Bush’s Super Bowl XLIV game-worn items will be auctioned off at ebay.com following the game; all proceeds of which will be donated to Mercy Corps.
