For cougar women over 35 years of age looking to date younger men, this site can be much of help. The site aims to create a safe environment where cougar women and the men they are seeking can meet and get to know each other and the rest is up to fate, says Website founder Tonya Whitsell.
Cougars, defined as older women who frequent clubs to pick up or meet younger men, are gaining a lot of attention in popular culture recently, especially with TV shows like 'Cougar Town', 'The Cougar' etc that are extremely popular in the West. Whitsell also says that these women are appealing to younger men since the men are not only looking for a sexual high, but also a mature woman who has her life in order. Although the women are generally thought to be at least 40-years-old and exclusively pursue much younger men, many feel they can be as young as 35-years-old too. But many believe that women around 35 cannot be viewed as cougars unless the men they’re pursuing are younger than 25. The 10-year age difference seems to be an unspoken but accepted minimum between partners.
