Designer Manav Gangwani's new collection 'An Affaire to Remember' left everyone captivated at the third day of Pearls Delhi Couture Week organised by FDCI. The show was an unusual one, ideal for the confident and sensual woman of today.
With models walking down the ramp in vibrant shades of pink, blue, fuschia to name a few, the crowd was awestruck by the collection. An incomparable selection of garments, the collection is bold yet dreamy with an element of romance. The designs are especially crafted for the woman of today and emphasise her attitude of infinite freedom.
The silhouettes in this collection range from elegant saris with stunning blouses, artfully draped Anarkalis, to scintillating gowns with voluminous skirts and fitted bodices and masterful layering of fabric. The piece de resistances are the lehengas with fabulous cuts and styling.
As is Manav's distinctive style, the entire collection is exquisitely embroidered with timeless Indian motifs, rich workmanship as well as contemporary embellishments. Use of Swarovski added a touch of sparkle and glamour.
"A host of opulent fabrics have been used to dramatize the garments like sequin sheeted nets, luxurious lush satins, French lame, sheer laces and many more," informed Gangwani.
Manav has used a wide spectrum of colours in this collection, making sure there is a colour to match the personality of every woman. Gunmetal grey, rich turquoise deep, classic royal blue, dazzling gold magical red and stunning fuscia were some of the bold and beautiful colours that Manav has used in his sensuous collection.
"Confidence is the sexiest trait that a woman can have. With my collection every woman will get a chance to do just that and flaunt her sensuous side,” says Manav.

What only added to the whole stunning showcase of the collection was the presence of Manav's friends from Bollywood. Top names like Ritesh Deshmukh, Sophie Choudhry, Soha Ali Khan, Zayed Khan with wife Malaika Khan and many more cheered him.
