Indian Institute of Fashion Technology conducted 'Fashionite 2010', a unique Fashion Show, where in 82 graduating designers showcased 543 ensembles (garment designs) which displayed on the ramp by 52 sizzling models to the choreography of Prasad Bidapa.
The fashion was conducted at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore, on July 28, 2010 at 5:00 pm and was scheduled for duration of over four hours.
In the process, the Indian Institute of Fashion Technology set a world record for the most number of garment designs displayed in a Fashion Show anywhere in the world! A senior official from the Limca Book of Records attended the event to monitor the record making.
Goolihatti Shekar, Minister of Textiles, Sports and Youth Services; Dr Prabhu Dev, Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University; Subhash Tiwari, Director, Shahi Exports; Vijay Kumar Nirali, Project Director, Dept of Handlooms and Textiles, Karnataka; and many other respected names comprised the guest list at the event.
