You will be surprised to know about Ranitha’s foray into making handbags. She has no formal training is designing bags. She used to design dresses for her grand children as a hobby. Once people started liking her designs and embroidery, she gave wings to her talent to produce handbags. Thus Neha’s Handbags was born.
" Initially, when I established Neha's, my main focus was on bags made of denim, velvet / suede and baby frocks. As I progressed in my business, the rich fabric, silk, caught my attention and thus I completely switched over to silk products," says Ranitha.
Established in 2005, Neha’s is an Indian Silk Products manufacturing company, located in Palayankottai, Tamil Nadu. Ranitha has over 50 women assisting her. The unit has state-of-the-art computerized Japanese embroidery machines along with a talented team of tailors and embroidering craftswomen.
From a gorgeous everyday use handbag to the ones with sophisticated designs and bold colours, bags from Neha's are simply stunning. The flowers, the sequins, the beads, and different handles made of beads, wood, cane, strap, metal and thread make the bags stand out from the rest.
Neha’s is known for beaded handbags, party handbags, fashion handbags, embroidered shoulder bags, ladies bags, fancy handbags and hand embroidered bags. In addition to bags, Neha’s also offer other products like cushion and seat covers, wall hangings and baby frocks in silk.
Ranitha adds, "Over a short span of time, Neha's has carved a special niche in the emerging Indian couture of fashionable silk accessories. The production capacity is about 3000 silk products a month, and is steadily on the rise. While the company currently produces bags and other products based on Ranitha’s designs, it also accepts customized orders."
