Wraps are known to be the most trendy attire as well as accessory, recently. The types of fabrics and patterns is what makes them look highly striking. Pure Silk, Wool and Cashmere is what rules the designs. There are many kinds of prints, embroideries, motifs, images etc which looks highly upgraded.
What rules in Silk is geometrical shape like circles, ovals, triangles as well as prints. Also animal prints and digital prints looks highly attractive in light wool and light silk fabric. Udita Bajaj, Manager, Kish says, "People are getting inspired by fashion. The regular schedule and work life makes people look out for easy and comfortable wear stuff. The trendy shawls and stoles has deviated the concept of dupatta with ethnic wear attires like salwar kameez and light-weight lehengas. There are different sizes of wraps in diverse lengths and breaths. Hence, as per the suitability people look out for contrast stuff with lehengas, salwar kameez, saris, denims, skirts etc."
Fashion fraternity has changed the entire fashion statement. Each season gets-in the trendiest and most updated garment and accessory. Talking about the unique features in her recent collection, designer Anupama Dayal says, "This season I am working on pure Pashmina stoles and shawls. The unique accessory is made in pure fine fabrics like light wool, silk etc. Florescent is what rules the scarves and shawls with intense fringing details in pure Pashmina. The designs are very subtle with bold, bright and beautiful prints which gives a very feminine feel to the stuff."
She also feels, "Kolkata is a good market. My designs for the city of joy moves around elegant yet stylish feminine essence. There are simple prints and sequins work that suits the Kolkata weather perfectly. Hence, one can flaunt light-wool in a short winter season with humidity."
